I’ve just been reading a post about the colours of the Australian outback and felt compelled to post - the place is just stunningly beautiful! In my mind I’ve always associated the place with Mad Max, dust and the colour orange, but this post has blown these preconceptions to bits. Yes it is barren, and there is a lot of sand and not much green, but it is raw, slightly weird and staggeringly inspirational.

Really impressed by this house. “Horizontal Space by architect Duilio Damilano impresses with clean-cut, pure volume composition with constant height and sleek rectangular shapes. The 300sq.m. house, which was originally designed to split into two units, consists of 4 bedroom and 4 bathrooms.” Source

And I would have agreed with that, until I read this article about the culture of credit cards around the globe. Who knew that in Japan (where there’s a gadget for everything) that hardly anyone pays for goods with plastic and that there are very few ATMs and merchants who take anything but cash!
